I went to a LFS yesterday they had a 5-6 inch FH I would say a very very poor grade was very dark and really no speckaling plus it's finnage was poor and they wanted 89.99 for him I was like hell no so I went to the Fish manager and said I'll give $45 for him he said no and I explained to him it was a very poor grade FH and he will never get 89.99 for him maybe when he's like 11" but he still insisted on no because of the price they bought the fish and he said they had to make more or at least break even on him. The FH did have a very nice chunky Kok though which I liked which is the reason why I wanted him.
Ridiculous!

bummer yo. there is no way i would pay 90bucks for some low grade FH. you should of snapped a photo of him. we always like seeing koksters around.

Umm first why would you come into the hybrid section to post this and second a 20 gallon HAHAHAHA i would waste my time on a free one. Now if it were a 125 then we are getting somewhere. 20 gallon is a cup of water for me.

Why waste money on a pike? Everyone has something that they like and dislike. I happen to like some hybrids and hate all pikes
Personal preference FTW!as far as the fish looking bad, some decent FH start out pretty bad looking.

Just because they are hybrids does not mean they aren't fish lol. As long as they don't go into the wild I am fine with it.
New update though I went to the same LFS but in a different town they have two stores of the same proximity weird lol. Anyways they had SUPERB FH Of all different variants and definately A or A+ grade. They were 2" with mini Koks and had perfect speckaling. There were a couple Blue Dragons, Kamfas, Yellow ones with red bellies don't know the name but anyways some regular everyday FH with some nice colors but bought a Vieja instead lol. The FH were only $24 I should of went for one but I was afraid of keeping it in my 29 for a growout with my bleekeri until they go in my 400 gallon. Bleekeri has an attitude problem and would have killed a fish that small if the FH put up a fight.
