right!!! how do you make a sump?

this is a full on noob Q ,but how do you make a sump. im in the process of turning my shed in to a fish room,. iv gt 2 new tanks from my mothers mate.a 4ft and a 4.5ft, iv gt a fluval 203 external for the smaller tank and im thinkin of a sump for the bigger 1.

but how do i go about this, can sumbody help me please???

It isn't just the sump that is important, there is plumbing and pump sizing.

well i can get all the plumbing no matter what but is there any type of sump that works better, what diameter piping works better than the rest.
wat size tank for a 4.5ft tank.
