I have 4 8 inch red bellies about 3 years old. Never used a powerhead and have my eye on a Koralia 8 3250 gph flow. Too much current for my 180 tank?

depends on your tanks decor, your plants won't like it but fish would probably love it, do create dead spot so they can have place to hide when needed.
here's a video of my old shoal in 180g with HK8, I have it pin against the back of the tank so it won't be too hard on the fish, you can adjust where the powerhead is pointing until you find a good position of it.

right now I have lots of plants in the tank so my HK8 becomes useless unless I decide to remove all the plants. let me know if you are interested cuz I might just sell my HK8 since but using it now (no idea when I'll be using it again), and you are in NJ too just noticed. where in jersey if you don't mind me asking.
