Right way to feed??

Where the Parachromis roam...
Righ now my 2 spotted Gars act like they could care less when i feed hem,sometimes they eat sometimes they dont.I feed every nite should i go every 2-3 nites before feeding??They are 9-10 inches i feed shrimp and tilapia.Also how hard will it be to get my ''Rocket Gar" off of live food,thanks.:headbang2
 
Keep feeding them daily until at least 12". Try using a wooden skewer to feed them the fish and shrimp chunks. This should minimize the waste, as you could just remove it when they seem uninterested.
 
Hi i currently have a rocket gar about 15cms and he only likes to eat pellets(Hikari bio gold) for some reason, now and again he will take a live fish.

What size is your rocket gar, did he grow fast mine takes for ever to grow for some reason.

I go him at about 6",he is a prety cool fish right now he eats Flakes and Cichlid sticks.

My Floridas like to join in with their non-Gar takemates enjoying Tetra Color Crisps, and they are in the foot long range! It does not supprise me that a 6" gar would hit flakes.
 
tilapia and silver sides/smelt always works like a charm for my f gar.
