I need to paint the back of my tank today and I was just wondering while I was at it, What about a rimless tank? It's Nicer looking and shows more beauty. I currently have a lid on it and a rim under neath the tank. If I go rimless, Will the tank break more easily since there's no rim? Thanks.

Quick answer would be much appreciated.

I dont think they look good unless the water is RIGHT up top... Your either going to get sick of topping it up everyday or some fish r going to make a mess..

Id say rimless tanks look good when its a 35 gallon planted tank with neons... other then that I wouldnt bother.

Thanks, I'll think about it. While I'm at it, Anyone else wanna give me some more advice?

I'm getting 2 lights and since the tank is only a cheap tank the lid only fits in cheap bulb lights. I was thinking what If I got a rim (Not a LID) and put it on the top so it could be open topped and I wouldn't be able to see the evaporation for a week or so, So in other words, No ugliness?
