So the guy at our lfs sold me one of these as a whiptailed pleco and when i did research found it to be catfish. My questionis does it eat algae? And should i fear for the life of my other communityfish tankmates? I get varying info on what they eat from google

Not a pleco. Similar species though. Just commonly called whiptail. Might graze on algae but will feed on sinking wafers or pellets
Thanks for the replies one of my rams went missing and as it was small i thought it waas him......looks like ive got tokeepguessing theres nothing else in the tank big enough tho
