rinsing sand

whats the best way to rinse/clean sand before putting it in the tank? how does everyone else do it?

I have a rubber-maid trash can 32 gallons. I fill it with sand stick a hose in all the way to the bottom and let it run for a LONG time. Agitate it every 5 Min's or so. Do this for a long time and it seems to work fine for me...

use the search function and search for 'sand.' tons of threads on ways to rinse sand. I agree with bigspizz though, the best way is the bucket and hose method for sure.
