Hi guys, I'm in the process of setting up a rio Arapiuns biotope for discus.
Anyone know what type of cory and tetra would be found in this river?
Also I have ready in a book that the area is rocky not flooded forest, I spoke with Heiko Bleher last night and he said flooded forest so I think I'll go with his advice but if anyone knows of or has some photos I could look at I would be for ever grateful.
Anyone else currently got this type of biotope?

Brian

Don't know about Tetras, but from what I can tell, Bronze and Emerald Corys should be spot on.

You can read in books all day, but no book is really going to show you its true beauty. You should really go there and experience the area for yourself if your really serious about making this a specific thing. The place is gorgeous. I was in the Amazon about 10 years ago. From what I remember, flooded forest sounds right... but sadly I was not there for Aquarium Research.

Never would of thought of a emerald cory, but yeah, great colour, decent size and keeps the sand nice and clean, if I can get a definite Yes they are found in this river I think I go with your suggestion.
Thank you,

Brian.
