I know I am maling way to many threads but I just have to many questions. I am going to be ordering a pair of Aequidens sp. Atabapo from Jeff once my tank cycles and I want to do a biotope with them. My stocking list is so far
The pair of Aequidens
1 L-052 pleco

Thats all I know for stocking.
I want to put in a tetra and a species of corydoras all I know for tetras which live in the atabapo are rummy nose which I'm afraod might school to low in the tank. I dont know of any corydoras in the atabapo I am willing to spread the biotope into the Orinoco basin if it offers a better suited tetra or corydoras.

Ive found corydoras metae as a species now all I need is a tetra does anyone know of any tetras from the upper Orinoco or the rio atabapo river which couldnt be eaten by a 5 inch cichlid.

I was considering some of those atabapo acaras too. They look sweet. You should start a thread in the cichlids section when you get them. Ive been looking for some acaras that will get along with my boisterous blue acaras. Most of the other aequidens and bujurquina ive put in there get outcompeted for food by the big blues.

Ill definitely be sure to start a thread. Go thing rapps is going away for a little bit so I can get my aquarium set up with some active sponges ive had going at a store for 2 weeks. Because I think that they are going to go pretty fast due to their coloring and that beautiful eye.

If you can swing it i would definitely snag one of those heros iniridas he has too. Dont see them often and i think one would be great with the acaras.

Sadly I dont have the aquarium space for that all I have is a 20 gallon planted and this is going to be a 40 gallon biotope

Oh i see. For some reason i thought you said it was 90. I probably read it wrong.

You could try the rummys or cardinals i suppose, but my hunch is theyll be gobbled.

If it were me, in a 40 breeder, id forego the dithers and just go with a collection of dwarf atabapo cichlids. One aequidens, one laetacara, one geo, some dicrossus perhaps...but i understand if youre going for the natural look.

Yea there was a thread a couple of years back which said they had a 90 gal. I'm planning on breeding the Aequidens so I want some dithers I am probably going to go with some spot tail hatchet and 1 l-052 pleco.

Ill definitely sell some to ya might take awhile because unlike most people i like to buy fish small to grow them out. I bought a pair of small kribs for my 20 gal and they had so much more personality than my,previous pair which I bought when they were fully grown.
