No he's always colored like this. I do have a brother that's a little smaller and subdominant that in the regular dress. I'll try ang get a pic up
I never seen any Texas like that who has those marking all the time. I've owned maybe 12 Texas who I raised to adults and none were like that. Only time is when they attempted to spawn.
There is a female in the tank also. But they have never breed. Because it's a cumunity tank with much larger Amphilophis. But he has been in this dress sines he was 4" or so. But his brothers comes and goes.
