Just picked up some wild caught geo steindachneri collected from Rio Magdalena. I'm looking for some suggestions on a schooling type fish and maybe some bottom feeders that would go well with them. Does anyone have any examples of other fish from the same area? Or know I place where I could find this info

thanks

columbian tetras might be a good choice for the schooling fish, and Plecos usually fit in well with south american tanks. What size is your tank, and how many geos do you have?

Here's a link to the wikipedia page for columbian tetra: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyphessobrycon_columbianus

It says the Columbian Tetra comes from the Rio Acandi system. That's geographically very close to, if not a part of the same river system as the Rio Magdalena

There are hatchetfish that also come from the same area. those would work, too. Cool looking little fish, stay near the top.
