Hey there. I am looking for info on cichlids from this river system. And also some biotope info. I know its a streach, but I would like to put together a list of native cichlids, live bearers, and catfish, and tetras from this water system. Useually when I do this I do some research, and I get a good amount of info after 4 or 5 hours. But this system has proven much tougher. After over 10 hours of research, I have come up with: meeki, argentea, octofasciatum, and a "blue molly". I know there has to be more then that.
My reasoning is to set up yet another biotope, as this is how I like to keep fish. The way they might be found in the wild. Also anyone who has collected there might be able to chime in about substrate, current and common things found in the river. I know that most of the time this is some driftwood, many rocks of various sizes, and sand or mud. But thought I would ask anyway.
Thanks in advance.
