Rio Tietes Kelberi

I recently saw some of the on the Market place. Did that batch from the vendor turn out to not have the typical "Spangles" that we usually see in the "Bahia"? Does anybody else have them? I also noticed that the vertical bands were square at the bottom, where as they are usually tapered or triangular. Still a very cool fish! Id love to see some mature Rio Tietes Pics. Anybody? Thankyou!:grinno:

S2cnvnt is the only guy i know that bought any from jeff rapps when he got them in is this who is selling???They are not bahia they are wild caught from the tietes ...
 
Yes....Very, very cool fish, but didnt see any yellow spots. I do have a few Bahia like yours, but I did get some fish from a wholesaler,in Fla. that were just called Kelberi.I thru them in a big pond tank in my garage. They have the Kelberi face and eyes, but have Monoculus like vertical stripes. My millon dollar ?? is is there such a thing as a plain Kelberi(non Bahia}? LOL I need an under water camera or just need to net one. I got them in May @ 3" and grew them to 12"now,but still no Spang! Prob grew too fast?

Bahia is where the ones that bred in Asia that have been floating around were collected the river system ..Kelberi is kelberi just were collected being different .....
 
Wes, can you get me some real cheap Intermedia? Fogo too if you don't mind? I'll buy....I swear. :) :ROFL:
