This fella just been sent in for recovery. Having chipped scales and a good handful of broken and split finnages.
Just came out of the white room and transferred to full black room for treatment.:D
Let's see how much different will it become in weeks to come.;)

They will definately heal up. Just that I wanna do some finnage op on it after it recover so that the finnages can look even better. The chipped scales all I can do is letting water changes and keeping the water well to help in healing. Good thing is that there's no infection.

Hey koji, do you put the aro to sleep first before you do the fin op? I did a fantail op on my jar a long time ago without putting it to sleep and eat to try it with my Rtg but don't want it to get injured while doing aug a small operation.

Definately a need to knock the fella out cold before doing any op on them.

Hey koji, howcome you don't cut the fins to all the same length? That way it'll grow back even right?

If you cut all of the same length those dorsal and tail finnage will regrow as wavy effect. The anal fin too will be affected but not as much. Thuse the existing finnages can guide the grow back.

Gotcha... Learn something new everyday. I see on YouTube people just cut the entire thing, that's why I asked. Thanks!!

To me, why remove the good one when these good one are helping to guide the new grow out? If you remove everything, in some cases it's a must. Depending on situation.:)
