Dates are a little vague, I'm working from the meta data on the pictures.

In August 08 we purchased 2 oscars named fatty and bumbum to add a bit of spice to our planted tank. Within a month bumbum was dead, fatty decided that he didn't like the company. Over the years the plants were ripped out(he didn't like them) it became our goal to get as many tacky objects in the tanks as possible for him to play with. This kept him happy for many years and despite the tank being slightly on the small side for him he was happy moving everything around and terrorizing guests that went anywhere near him, often by surprise when they were sat near him only to be covered in water minutes later.

Tank maintenance became a pain as the tank needed doing twice a week but we didn't care...

A couple of weeks ago he stopped eating and a growth started to appear bulging from his inside. Despite our best efforts sadly he died yesterday so I thought I'd throw up a little tribute thread to our beloved fatty.

I know I've posted these before but he would never do it on film, so I setup a tripod and waited. Imagine being sat near the sat chatting away and out of nowhere he'd take offense at you;-)

Thankyou.

We spent a day or two wondering what to do with the tank, so we went to an LFS for inspiration.

2 tigers and a red, named Tiger(very bold one), Tigger(very scared one) and Fats(the red). I know 3 long term in this tank won't work but if they all get along they can go in the monster with the Aro.

Fantastic looking O, sorry for your loss.

Great looking new Oscars as well, I'm already a fan of the red!

Sucks losing a fish you've had for a long time. what type of plant is in your tank on the 4th picture down?

Awesome Oscar, sorry for the loss. But way to stay in the game.
Thanks, Like I said if they get along then all is fine. They won't but they can always go in the big tank once they've grown out.

Thank you, we were thinking of 4, 2 tigers/2 red but they don't work out in even numbers

Thank you. Hygrophila polysperma, as long as you have decent substrate it'll grow like mad, unless you add a couple of oscars ;-)
