tonite my 9" pinima passed away...not sure what happened but found it dead when i came home.... grew this lil guy from 2" :|

my 12" kelberi passed away for no apparent reason too .. when i got home it was still breathing, i immediately did a water change and added salt... i tried to revive it by holding him up to a powerhead blowin up to his face for 2 hrs .... no idea what killed him ...

i recently added 4x 8" clown loach and i had to add salt and some aquari-sol ... but i doubt thats what did it since those medicine is usually pretty mild and salt if anything, it'll just help the fish... dunno

sad night... :(

sorry to hear about your loss, I know it is really upsetting when you lose pbass, especially a sizeable one...

man tough losses bro.. sorry.

Sorry for your loss...:(

A lot of cichla dying for no reason, I wonder what the the deal is....

daym bro you lost some heavy hitters!!! sorry man, this tread of cichlas dying needs to end!!!!

Something is probably missing in their environments that is either unknown or difficult to replicate in captivity. Maybe sunlight to process vitamins or a seasonal change that cues or resets something biologically. Just my hunch. I'm not specifically a cichla guy, just a regular fishkeeper.
