I went to turn Kiara's (my 13" male Midas) tank light on this morning, on my way out the door...and he's dead! I don't know what happened! The other day I noticed a mark on his side, kind of like a sore, and acted immediately. I'm still not entirely sure what it was, but by the next day he seemed MUCH better. The sore had mostly disappeared and he was back to his normal self. The day after that, he got worse. Mostly inactive, kind of just slowly moving around the bottom of his tank, pretty much resting on the gravel. I immediately did a water change, then another one once I got home later in the day. It seemed to perk him up, though he was still not 'normal'. Then, this morning, he's dead! I'm crushed, he was my baby I've had him for three years, he was still just a baby with lots more life in him...ugh.

What med did you use? Same thing happened with my dovii a week ago..

OMFG... That's a loss... My sincere condolences, Sinister. Kiara was an AWESOME specimen. :(

Best regards.

Daniel.

Thanks...he was pretty fabulous, wasn't he? :(

The meds I put in were that Doc Wellfish brand or whatever it is, don't remember exactly what it was called. I've used the before without any problems.

Thanks guys.

Oh man, sorry to hear that. I'm sure he was an amazing specimen. 14 inches, wow, he had a great life.
