Went into the room today to change everyone's water and found my smallest ball python dead. He hasn't wanted to feed since I got him so it probably had something to do with that. No matter how many animals I rescue and how many of them pass away because they are simply too far gone, it never really gets easier. It makes you re-evaluate everything to try and figure out what you could have done to help them out, but I guess everything happens for a reason and you definitely can't save them all.

I hope you quarantine everyone away from everyone else. sorry for your loss.

im so sorry :( as u know this happened to me last week, and im still re-evaluating everything.

I have snakes everywhere atm due to quarantine. I have all my oldest/long term pets (the ones I have had for 1+ years so I know there isn't an issue) in one room. I had the little guy in the kitchen/dining room thingy. The newest ball (the one who was thrown from a moving car) is in the guest bathroom :)

I am extremely careful when it comes to bringing in new animals, which seems to be a quite often lately. I use tubs to house the new guys in so I can sanatize and treat for parasites/mites easier. I also use disposable deli cups for water in most situations. Each room has it's own cleaning supplies so no worries of cross contamination. I always wash my hands between rooms as well.

I will say having snakes in the guest room have made the likelihood of house guests much lower. I suggest you try it for those pesky in-law issues.

 Great advice!!!!

still sorry for your loss

Thanks everyone - it seems no matter how many pets you loose, every one still hurts just as bad. I appreciate all of the support :)
