i came hometoday and found my 10+ female festae on her side dead at the bottom of the tank. she had no scratches, fin damage or anything of that sort on her. ive had losses in the past but nothing has hurt me like this. im sharring this with all of you in the biggest fish community cause i know you have all lost one of your fav fish at 1 time. its weird my closest friends n fam dont understand how i could be so down cause of a fish and im a grown man.... lol i have plenty and i mean plenty of tanks and other fish quite a few festae as well but she was my alltime fav. i dug a hole out in my back yard under my favorite palm tree and burried her there. she will add good nutrients to the soil and in some way i can think about her when i see the living tree =) thanks for letting me sob with yall!

on a better note, are you guys ready for some football?!?!?!?!?!? =)
 
Man, that's horrible. Many people outside of the hobby can't relate. I know that it is terrible to lose a fish like that. No clue as to what happened? I feel for you. I hope the rest of your tanks continue to run without anymore losses. Oh, BTW I am enjoying some football right now! Green Bay is looking great!
 
That's rough I lost my RTCxTSN earlier this week and same things, everyone was like so just get another. Sorry for your loss

Sorry to hear. Sounds like you picked a nice spot for her.
This is part of the reason I don't name my fish. My kids always bug me to name them. But, it seems like once I name them something happens.
Friends never seem to know/realize just how attached we get to our fish. Even if they have a dog that they consider family. It's really not that different. Remember who says "just buy a new one" next time a friends dog has to be put down or dies. I bet they won't like it when you tell them the same thing.

Thanks! It's a quick sketch I drew of Gruff, the main character of a trilogy of novels that I have published. Rogers and the green men took care of business last night. Sproles looked really good too. I hope the game took your mind of your recent loss for a while.
