I was expecting to have an interesting story to report today: My White Clouds have layed eggs and were hatching.
Of the 3 I saw, one was eaten by Rontu (after the Dog from Island of the Blue Dolphins) one I lost and one drowned while being transported.
So, to ensure that the others survived until I got home, I put them in a 2 1/2 gallon bucket. Well, I got home and noticed an orange leaf-like thing on my floor.
I almost threw up.
It was Rontu.
The other, I couldnt bear to find. I had my Mom find it. I feel like an @$$ for not covering it. I know, learn from your mistakes, but I still feel really bad. Not because I lost two $2.50 fish, but because my mistake cost them their lives. Well, I'm off to bury Rontu and the other. Then I'm gonna buy two more, but this time, two wild White Clouds.
RIP Rontu, RIP White Cloud.
Although I did take it better than I thought. No tears, but very VERY sick to my stomach.
I guess if there was a fish that would manage to survive a 3 foot fall, and make it another 3 feet, it would be Rontu.
