So I bought a sailfin pleco and a tiger shovelnose about a year ago both were roughly 3-4 inches in size. The tsn obviously grew faster than the pleco but they grew up together and never had a problem with one another, in fact I don't even think they knew each other existed...at least until last night when I came home from work and my tsn looked like he had swallowed a plane...my tsn is just over a foot and the pleco must have been around 8inches I can't for the life of me figure out how he even got his mouth around him let alone the whole guy in his stomach. There's no rescuing the pleco but with my tsn be ok? I mean plecos aren't exactly soft and they have spines on their fins don't they? Also I feed my tsn daily so why would he feel the need to go after the pleco?

Honestly, no telling why he did it. That's just what big catfish do.

I don't know for sure if the TSN will be ok, but if it was my fish I wouldn't be too awful worried.

Well he has been just loafing all day but I guess that's what he does every day lol. Nothing has poked through so I'm hoping he just digests him normal.

This is why I'm nervous having my Juruense catfish with my rather expensive characins. Good thing they all seem to grow faster than the Jur. :/

I'm jealous u would love to have a juruense where did u get one?
