I was at petsmart today with my girlfriend, and i stopped to look at the fish, like i always do. I looked at the oscars, and a good 80% of the oscars they had, had developed hole in the head. These poor guys werent even 5 inches yet. Id never seen it so advanced in young oscars like that.

Those fish developed it over a long period of time, and Petsmarts supplier is to blame for that one. Their clown loaches often come in with internal parasites too.

Yea, there quality of fish isn't so good. I try to never buy any fish at the big retail places. I prefer the little mom / pop places instead.

i have only bought a red bellied pacu and my femal JD they both were good. but i have heard horror stories about people buying fish from retail places. i like to stick with ma and pops stores better quality IMO.

Yeah, generally I only trust Petco and Petsmart for equipment and supplies.
