Hey Guys, I have a gold barred midas in my 200 gallon. He used to be a positive member of my community, until he decided to systematically rip the eyes out of every one of my fish. I was forced to move my breeding pike cichlid pair before they got shredded. Have any of you had this problem with this species?

yep i tryed to put a rockbass in with my fh, eyes where ripped out fins ripped to shreads and the rockbass could barely be identifyed as a rockbass!!

I would keep the midas see as how all of the other fish have no eyes, but if you do keep the other fish, I would buy those cave fish that also have no eyes, that way no one else in the tank feels left out.

midas can be tricky sometimes,try to find something evenly matched and maybe they will just have a mexican standoff.
Sorry to be a little off track...but what species of pikes were they that you were breedin? Probably Saxatilis group pikes eh?
