what is that caused from ? and the other dumb sounding question :popcorn: do they heal .. scard??

a 3 inch silver ck has one maybe an inch from the tail end. small split . :(

It should heal. What other tank mates do you have with it?

clown pleco.2inches.. hes so lazy though .. idk. 3 synodontis. 3 yoyos 4 monster guppies and some fry. also a dr ct betta thats in love with anacharis and wont stray from them ....
should i move all my clowns to one big tank ? would 125 work ?

i was sorta trying to make them ''friends'' with other types of comm fish but is this a bad sign already?

im know expert but that may be the problem. i have 3 and the big one tends to pic on the others when lights are out. and i have had the same problem you had with yours. just try and keep them well fed

Other Knives, Plecos, and other bottom dwelling fish will all fight. Those fins will heal. Mine scuffles with the pleco once in awhile and they both get some minor damage, but it heals fast, atleast mine does. He had a split pectoral fin that healed in like 4 days.

well the one im talking about doesnt live with other knives but the clown pleco could be the culrpit i suppose. i will see how it heals..

off subject but =P has anyone raised there knives with feeders living with them > 50 plus feeders and a knife or something along the lines.... fast growth ?? natural growth??

Feeders alone will not be sufficient. You risk introducing pathogens to your fish which could even kill it. Do you quarantine feeders?

yes but i dont technically have feeders. what do have is veil tail guppies and and huge happy face guppies that have spawned 100s of fry. they are in great waters i believe and have kept them with very small deaths over 2 years with spontaneous breeding. i was thinking just grab all the fry and see how long they survive?

most of this stems from the fact that 2 of my knives clearly detest non live.. are ghost shrimps a good staple??
