ripsaw catfish

Hi, I'm new to this site but need some information! I have a red tail catfish and a florida gar pike and now a ripsaw catfish. I would love some info on the ripsaw. I can't seem to find very much information. Thank you in advance!!

I have one, theyre pretty col to look at but nt too fun to watch since they dont move around alot. and theyre very timid eaters, ive had mine for over 2 months and never seen it eat, they get very big tho

Mines 24" only moves to eat otherwise impersonates driftwood all day long..

mannep, you must have quite a few gallons to work with! Got pics?

Oxydoras niger and megalodoras uranoscopus are both known as ripsaw cats. I suspect that pterodoras granulosus might also get that label from time to time, but haven't seen them for sale very often. All love snails and will eat most prepared foods, and all grow to very large sizes. Which one do yo have? O. niger is the most common.
