I was thinking of adding new stock to my 125 after I complete my stand.
After removing a 14" giraffe cat (who decided he was going to try to tailwhip the other fish away from food one day, and was subsequently beaten nearly to death), the only two fish in the tank are a 12" female johanna pike and a 7" male festae.
I've got a pearsei growing out who is around 6" now but i don't want to add him to the tank by himself. Do you think introducing the pearsei and a couple of chocolates of similar size would be a good idea? The pike will most likely be ok as she tends to leave larger cichlids alone, the festae leaves smaller cichlids alone.
Would they be able to stand up to the red terror? If not does anyone have any suggestions on what would be a suitable addition along with the pearsei so he isn't the only new kid on the block?
