I think I am going to pick up one of the double 55g metal tank stands from Drsforsterandsmith.com. The bottom tank is always really low to the ground and a pain to do wc on. Would it be too dangerous to place a cinder block under each leg? I would place it so the long surface of the brick was on the floor. Thanks

Hello; Should you decide to use a cinder block it may be that something should be placed on top of the block such as a thick piece of plywood. I understand that the blocks need to be placed with the holes facing up for the best strength. A covering panel of some sort will keep the metal legs from digging into the brittle block and also cover the holes. I would put something between the metal legs and the block even if a solid block is used.
