After seeing Jeremy Wade pull out some Tiger Fish on the last 2 episodes of River Monsters, it is quickly becoming my favorite fish. It was awesome to see the fight it put up in those rapids near that dam in Africa. I want to get one but it really isn't a feasible aquarium fish. I'd be afraid to put my hand in the tank.

I liked the sceen with all the catfish feeding. They fed with their mouths bobbing in and out of the water. The sound they made was freaky. It was cool how Jeremy sat back and waited for the Tiger fish to be drawn in and then started pulling one after the other out of the river.

Yeah, tiger fish are definitely sweet. Would love to have one (or some) myself, but a vendor that sells them says a 500g is minimum (don't have room for that in a one bedroom apartment). Also, I think that is WAY too small since they grow over 3 feet and are powerful swimmers. Also, not sure how they would do together or with tank mates - I think they would probably kill each other in a confined space.

Goliath Tiger Fish (larger version of what Wade has been catching) would be incredible, but all the problems mentioned above would be exponentially increased.
 
I actually just caught up on the new season cuz I work weekends. It was pretty cool how the catfish pushed the fish to open water then attach the schools of fish . The tigers do work a lot like prahanna . I know a site you can buy some its called aquascapeonline.com they had some last time I went up there. I would bd scared to put my hands in a tank with them in it . I would say true monster fish
