River rock

I have boiled rock that I have brought home, Turkey fryer is only so big, can I bake it in an oven and make it safe to add to a fish tank? My in laws have a creek behind their House, with some really nice pieces in it. Is their anything I should be concerned with other than the possible parasites?

make sure you let the rocks cool and heat gradually, dont want any to explode...
