i just picked up a bunch of river rocks, i washed them and put them in my 30. are they alright to use with a baby jardini?

i put my tank on the ground because i heard that it prevents drop eye for ur arowana because it forces the arowana to look up at things rather than down. is this true? thanks in advance.

The rocks look great, but the only problem w/ using larger rock is that it is harder to siphon the debris from them. Also food particles can get trapped in the cracks and start to rot. I would suggest filling in the crevices w/ sand or really small gravel. About the dropeye, it is thought to be a genetic thing so putting the tank on the floor probably wont help, but I guess you could try it. Just make sure not to kick it or anything else! lol

cool thanks for the response. i was worried that foot and junk would get caught in there. i'll try my best to move around the rocks and siphon all that crap out.

dam i also heard that feedeing ur arowana goldfish will give them drop eye. i know that a fatty diet and genetics can cause dropeye, but i also want to see if all this other stuff ive been hearing is true. :headbang2 thank you :headbang2

As long as you quarinteen the feeders then it is fine to feed them once in awhile as "treats." Also try putting sand in the tank to fill in the gaps between the rocks, that should help!

aite i will try that. do u know any food i could feed my arowana that would help with the color??

Hikari Gold Cichlid pellets, in the size suitible for your aro, and Azoo 9 in 1 arowana sticks. They both have color enhancing ingredients, and they help my silver keep a beautiful red and blue tinge in its scales!

great, i have alot of hikari gold pellets from the time i had a red devil. its very very old though, does fish food ever spoil?
