someone is selling a new RO unit on craigslist only used 3 times- for like $50-- They said it's coralife and was $159 when the bought it so i'm guessing it's this one.

I'm sure it's not as good as the ones on the filter guys but is it still pretty decent? They are selling it for $50 or a little less and I'm tryng to save as much money as I can so I can get a good skimmer or other stuff. What do you think?

I was considering getting something from http://thefilterguys.biz/ro_di_systems.htm but much more expensive.

I would spend the extra money for the filter guy's RO/DI unit that corallife one is a piece of garbage.

Hey, i got my typhoon III today, being that I've never used a RO/DI unit before i'm pretty confused- i'm using it with a hose input- I've followed the directions best I can but i'm still relatively confused- I have water going though it right now. The DI cartridge is filling up I think. There is water coming out the waste and some coming out of the DI, after the stage 5 - is this normal even though the cartridge is completely filled with water yet? I'm pretty sure it is filling up very slowly. Will the water coming out of there be good once it is completely full? Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks alot!

sounds normal to me, it may take a little while to get all the air out. but im pretty sure the water that comes out the good tube is still filtered enough to use, even with air in the filter.
