I am about to invest my money in a ro/di unit. I know there might not be one out there, but is there one that I dont need to tap into my plumbing? I live in a apartment and I dont want to poke a hole in their pipe. Like some kind of unit I can pour the water into like a coffee machine. Lol that gave me an idea, never work. I wish it was that easy. Dont walmart sell ro/di water? Or just RO?

You can get fittings to hook right up to the faucet.

I forgot which company it is, but one of them makes a portable ro unit that can hook to your kitchen sink or showerhead.

I think ill just go with a RO water system. Marinedepot.com have ones u can hook up to an outside faucet line. Awsome just what I was lookin for. There is one on ebay right now for $18 used. Unit is atleast 3 years of age. I dont know if I wanna spend the $169 on a new one or buy used. sigh

RO/DI units are great, and easily hooked up with parts from a local hardware store. Just make sure that you have good water pressure, and that the filter is able to make water fast enough for your needs. Keep in mind that the per day rating is at optimum pressure, which is 80psi.
