I'm gonna be buying a coralife RO unit this coming week and was told I need to add minerals back into the water. I have three wild peacock bass. What water conditioner would everyone recommend?

I use R/O right.

if you can get away with it don't use ro. it cost way more to add the trace elements to the water then it does to add prime or something like that. I am the first to understand if you have to use one, is I have no choice but to use R/O

I need to add minerals back into the water.

I use R/O water but I mix it with some tap to get some minerals back in. There is a expensive product that you can buy...sorry I cant remember its name.

Oh how I wish I could do that :( My tap is a toxic waste dump, and I have no choice but to use chems.

I have the same problem. The water coming out of my RO unit is treated with R/O Right by Kent, and Cichlid Buffer also made by Kent. The R/O right is for the minerals and some general hardness, and the buffer raises the pH of the water and adds minerals as well as hardness back into it.

wow and i thought missouri had good water, our water is as hard as rocks and very alkaline, sooo i use my well water, it is also hard but has nothing in it. just 40 ppm nitrates.
