yo guys im looking for an ro water system , but i need to know if what i want it for is correct for example , i been having issues with cloudy water fish always getting sick or they are not active so im thinking it has to be the water now my understanding is this system will purify the water am i correct ? and if i am correct and you think this will solve my problem and you have one or know of some one trying to get rid of one im really interested thanks .

It's your water alright. But not your tapwater. I'm sure it's your tank's water. Very rarely will tap water not be good enough for most fish. An RO filter will strip everything, so you will need to re-mineralize the pure water to add back the essential mineral that make up your hardness and buffering capacity.

well ro water removes 99% of everything from the water including all the minerals in the water it also makes the ph very low so you would have to add all the minerals back with ro right ether for ether had or soft water. but if you keep discus then its fine to just add with out anything else. the main reason people use it is to purify the water with out chemical like prime but on a freshwater set up its easier and cheaper to just add prime. it wont take care of your cloudy water you'll have to upgrade on filtration for that

Just another cloudy water reason. it happened to me last week from my 300G aged tank. I think because last week was too hot and powerhead was dead. That made my water cloudy. Do you age yours?

so what do you suggest i do fellas , im running an fx5 on a 135 with 5 kkp,one jd, 2 indo's and some sourt of catfish , so i think filtration should be ok , another thing ive thought about is that really fine black gravel the tank has ive done so much is driving me nuts this tank is actually at my job , ihave like 6 tanks at home and none of them have this problem, should i just start the whole tank set up all over ?

Dude, its something we all experience. My 75g did that while it was filtered with an fx5. its not your filter. There's something in THAT tank. I did like 3 or 4 100% water changes. Cleaned the filters (also had an ac70) and switched to a different canister filter. Cloudiness kept coming back.

I used the stuff that I linked above. It cleared the tank overnight and i've never had that issue again.
