roach colonies

got a quick question.

last winter i want to say around Feb. i bought roaches to start my own colony to feed to my reps and i have been growing the colony since then and i have yet to feed off a single roach. do you think the colony is capable of maintaining itself now i started with around 150 or so? i recently moved them into a 30 gallon tank in hopes that they will breed faster lol.

just checking to see how long people let there colonies get established for before they start to feed them off.

How warm are you keeping them? They grow and mature much faster at higher temperatures.

dubai roaches.

i keep them in my rep room so they are around 80-85 constantly

I also waited for a year before I started feeding roaches from my colony. Of course I started with 50 nymphs less than a 1/4" long so it look a while. Now they're producing a lot of young so I feed the larger nymphs to my Ackies and geckos. I don't feed any of the female roaches but I do feed off some of the adult male roaches to my pyxie frog.
