Hi,

I swear there is some really messed up drivers out there. I think I am going to start carrying a golf club or baseball bat in the back seat of my car.

The other day I was making a right turn at a stop sign and it was my turn, but the guy at the stop sign to the right goes through and tries to beat me. I came a few inches from making contact with him. So I am driving behind him for like a block.

And during the time the guy is giving me mean looks through the mirrors and flipping me off. I guess he felt like it was his turn and I tried cheating him or something. Some people think they own the road. Anyway, then all of a sudden he SLAMS on the brakes. I think he did this on purpose to get me to rear end him. Anyway, did not work. But the guy jumps out and starts screaming and his face is shaking and I couldn't understand anything, all I can make out is " I'm gonna ___ you up!!". Before anything happened he jumps back in the car and leaves.

Now tonight, I was at the gas station and I am driving straight towards the pumps, then all of a sudden a truck with 3 young guys just charges right in front of me. I had the right of way but they wanted to cut me off so they can leave the gas station. And during the time the stupid passenger is like laughing and sticking his hands out and making faces. Kinda like mocking me or something. So I then honk hard at them. Then the passenger sticks his head out and throws his arms up, like "Whats up wanna fight"?

I was so serious I was going to knock all three of them out. I saw them a minute before and all three were skinny young guys. And the thing is, like 5 minutes before I was leaving a parking lot and some "thugs" cut me off almost the same way.

I live in Los Angeles, and my friend was telling me we got the worse driving here and some of the rudest drivers. I believe it, I can trust myself but can't trust other drivers. And I think for my safety I am going to start carrying a golf club or something in my back seat.

Anyway, sorry for the long rant. Got any similar stories?

Golf club over baseball bat, more force to a smaller surface area= more damage. Sorry but I don't think LA has the worst drivers, I think that every where you go there are horrid drivers. I have seen my share, I try to not get angry which has worked so far. Then again I never have had anybody threaten to fight me, I feel this would be a stupid threat anyways. Oh wait! I did have a threat, get ready for this.........................................so...my friends and I were outside a friend's house at night about to get in our cars and go home. When some ricer pulls up because the house is near the entrance to the neighborhood. But this car gets way to close to us, so we yell at the people in the car. And in our group of friends there are 2 6 foot 185-200lb guys, 3 6ish foot 165lb guys, and a girl. So the car drives off down the road a bit and at the stop sign before the exit, the driver gets out yelling like he wants to fight. I saw both people in the car they were 5'7"ish skinny little brats, me and my friends are looking at each other like "is this guy serious?". Anyways after yelling back and forth for 10 seconds he drives off.

Try driving around the streets of Philadelpia for just one day and you will feel that your town is like Mayberry by comparison.

Try dirving in FL =] stop signs and red lights dont seem to exit in some areas of south FL ... people drive like crap where I live in Tampa too.... its sad. Whats worse is the laws here that in some situations an accident isnt your fault but you get the ticket anyways for someone elses stupidity. I used to carry a hammer in my car. Once I was waiting for the woman to come up to my car so I can hit her with it.... (idiot driver who tried to follow me... sad for her as her driving skillz=fail ) She got out of her car at a stop light before I lost her and walked up to my car, had the light not turned green I so woulda hit her with my hammer the second she touched my car.... one law in FL that I am thankful for.. I can do this legaly so long as she approaches and touches my property while I am in it =] Oh the lady was mad I guess cuse I used my blinker and was waiting for her to pass so I can switch lanes... I was totally in my lane the entire time waiting for her.... I dunno what made her so mad about me waiting for her to pass and having my turn signal on while in my lane... o_O (this was when i lived in orlando)

I would say be careful though as there are some people who will do really bad things including killing you over stupid things like this. Where I live I dont dare mess with anyone cuse I dont trust the people around here. I once saw to guys with trucks picking stuff out of the back of the trucks and chucking it at the other's truck trying to damage eachothers trucks. Apparently the one infront cut off the one in back.. they did this in the middle of the road while at a red light and continued through the green light.. people are nutz.

Interesting law you have there Ash.If we had such a law here that allowed a person to strike another for touching their vehicle while they were inside of it, the morgue here would run out of space for all of the bodies that would pile up.

I agree about FL...i've driven in south florida a few times and it was so bad. Everyone was either racing to the next light or going way to slow. And it took everyone a few seconds to realize the light was green...

I'm good at letting things go and not escalating anything. Really not worth it.

Boston's no better. Those scum bags in southy (violent illiterate primitives) will try to kill you for cutting them off. Also if you have money and they don't the local judges will tap you for both the criminal change AND make you pay restitution. I can't afford so much as a scratch on my record so I just let them go.

The other bad drivers up here are students. In the more civilized parts of Boston you make sure they stop then cross. I get the feeling that red lights are optional in their minds.
