Howdy,

The University of Essex, UK, has developed a robotic fish, whose movements are so natural that these fish are displayed in the London Aquarium and fool visitors :D They're 20'' long and modeled after the common carp. They look robotic to me, but after having seen them in action in these videos, I can understand why people think they're real.

Check out these links, don't miss the videos where you can see those fellows swim.

some of those actually look real!

that is so cool. They do look real(some) but if u are an experianced fish keeper u could probly tell the differance but tfor those kids it is great. Perfeft fish. Never eats never have to change water or clean tank.

it fooled me, except for the coloring maybe...I cant believe some wierdos had three years to spend on a project like that, but power to them!

thats the only thing that would make me think that it was fake. Make a rubber skin on an actual fish and put it on the robot part and BAM u got your self a fish. Stick a camera in it and new tech to studie fish in the wild

I want one!
No more WC, feeding, Ich etc.
And I'd like to see a snakehead take a bite out of that one!

Thats cool.

They are doin that with robotic sharks, but they are remote control not autonomous.
