robust floating plants...

can you reccomend me some robust floating plants to give my oscars a bit of shade?

I have a DIY posted for floating plants. but fake..

Water lettuce and hyacinth are great, but they can be finicky indoors.

Duckweed is S-I-M-P-L-E to grow and can actually get out of hand, but it make a very good shade plant without long roots.
