Kids brought home a couple 3" rock bass and a pumpkin seed from a local lake and put them in our well established outdoor lilly pond. My intention was to have them take the fish back and release them, but they are quite thrilled with the new pets. They seem to be doing well (it's been over a week). The pond is a 90g with a fountain pump for water circulation. Now the kids want to add a similar size marble con to the mix. Do you think this mix would do okay for the summer? Would the combo work in a large aquarium when it's time to bring them in before winter? I've no experience with cold water fish, only ciclids and tropicals... I'm guessing the ideal water conditions are too different for this to work successfully.

rockbass and pumpkinseed seem to do OK in warmer water. some of the small ponds I catch them in are quite warm right now (~75*f water temp) I've heard rockbass prefer cooler temps though.
