So I have 2 breeding pairs of Kribensis's. Each in their own 20 long. They both have had one batch of eggs and both were eaten.

My older set just laid her second set of eggs and not in either of the pots available for her. She dug out a hole under a rock in the tank. I saw her digging around and went to move the rock to keep her from hurting herself and she had already laid her eggs under the rock. A few stuck to the underside. Most were scattered in the gravel.

Silly Krib. Guess I'll see if this batch makes it then I get to shift some things around.

i got one pair in a 29gal just got them yesterday for my brother

the female keeps getting "stuck" in the DW

Well the batch that was laid under the rock was eaten. I'm gonna rearrange thier tank today with pots so she doesn't do that again.

My other pair laid eggs as well 2 days ago and have already eaten most of them. T

Thats 2 failed batches each. I'm setting up a 50 gallon for a fry grow out tank and I think for the next batch after the tank is ready I'm going to take the pot out and put it in the fry tank so they have a better chance.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

I'd like to grow out some fry but they keep eating them all. They are fed regularly but after 2 days the eggs get eaten

Probably just inexperience. They should get the hang of it eventually, but if not, you can move the pot to another tank. Just set up an airstone so the bubbles flow near the eggs. This will keep fresh water flowing over the eggs, which is important.

I'll probably give that a try. After they lay eggs next I'll switch pots on them at night.

Hopefully I can get some fry growing. I'll leave them to do whatever after that. Eat the eggs or maybe figure it out.

Heres a quick picture of one of my pairs. Still guarding the house even after they had eaten the eggs.
