Far far away land
Ok went rock hunting today through the city, around creeks, rivers and landscaping stores today. Most are soaking and I got for free. My question is the landscaping place had some white rocks that I have never used and wanted to know if they were aquarium safe. They are the big white ones that you see around drains and bridges near creeks or other bodies of water. Will these be ok with the usual soaking and treatment or do crazy things to the water?

Sounds like riprap, it's limestone. If you have soft water it'll make it hard. If you have hard water it won't affect it. I've got about 200 lbs of it in an african tank, mbuna love it.

I only keep africans at the moment, so I guess thats good. It looks kind of like the pictures I found for riprap, but a little different.
