Not sure if I'm in the right forum or not. . . don't know a whole lot about this particular cichlid. . . but I picked 3 up today at the LFS store. . . I take my babies up there so he hooks me up whenever I want something and I saw a beautiful male 2in with great coloration and 2 holding females so I got a buy one get 2 free deal with about 50 dalmation feeder mollies. . . ended up costing me 12.25. . . got them home and stripped 23 fry from the two females. . . now I'm wondering where to put them. I'm still in the process of building my breeding system. . . not to mention buying 12x29g tanks is going to cost an arm and a leg. . . so I was wondering if they'd do alright in my mbuna tank? What do y'all think?

Rock kribs really aren't all that agressive for an african cichlid. They would be better suited in a hap or peacock tank. I had some in with mbuna and the would get beat up quite a bit. They never got killed but, I didn't like the fact that they had it pretty ruff in there so I moved them to my hap tank. They are a really nice fish though.

Well, I have a peacock in my mbuna tank that does quite well. . . the only ones in that tank that get picked on are the Convicts. . . and that's because they start fights with my 6in JD that they can't finish. . .

If you have a peacock in there then they should be fine. My mbuna tank was too hard core for them and they get relenless chaseings by my M. Chipokea, and P. demasoni males.

Yeah, my chipokae male is pretty aggressive. . . especially since he has two females in there. . . but him and the JD are the two most aggresive in the tank and the JD is actually pretty chill unless he's gettin' f'd with. . . I've got them in quarantine for now but I'll put them in my comm. cichlid tank in about a week and we'll see what happens.
