Rock salt

is it safe to use the rock salt?


and im talking about the rock salt they sell in grocery stores for water softening units.

i was at my ralph grocery store the other day and saw that ralph make a rock supposedly 99.5% pure sodium chloride, and going to petsmart to buy rock salt in a 2 guart carton is getting very tedious

Yup, their almost the same as the 1 we buy at pet stores. I used those salts for like 3 yrs and never gave me any problem. Now, where i live at, couldn't find any so have to buy those salts online.
