Ok i have a piece of flat rock that i would like to attach to my drift wood. I can drill a hole in the rock but, how do i attach it?

I prob should not use a screw right for fear of corroding (rusting) in the water correct?

Any other ideas to attach it?

plastic wire or like a twisty tie. Just fiddle around with it so it doesn't show.

tie it with zip tie, fishing line, some sort of string

rusting does not harm the water. provides iron to plants if you have any :P

I have used stainless steel screws and covered the screwhead with tank silicone. It has always worked pretty well.

The hardest part is drilling the hole in the flat rock. I used masonary bits and sprayed water on the contact spot as drilling it.

Most of the pieces of driftwood my LFS has on rock is simply attached with a stainless steel screw. Might rust a little in a couple years but they hold up pretty well.
