They are predators and eat only live fish in the wild. They grow to be 10-12" and should be kept in 75g tanks minimum.

They seem to grow pretty fast up to 5-6" and then slow down considerably.

For feeding
At 3-4" guppies and platy's work well
5"+ and you can move to rosie red minnows and fat head minnows.

When small they can eat there length in guppie's and platy's every day.

Hi,

mine eat silversides, shrimps and sticks. Were easy to get off of feeders.
