I wondering if anyone knows a website that sells rocks that aren't as expensive as in the stores. Please any info will help tremendously!!! Thanks

AJ

liveaquaria is usually pretty cheap, i bet if you check on reef central you'll find a bunch more places

are you looking for dead coral rocks? if so that sucks people have to buy them...i get them from the beach and cook em for an hour at 400degree...and yes live aquaria has some good stuff for not to bad a price.

If you're talking about liverock I highly reccomend checking out some local aquarium clubs. I found 100 lbs of LR for $30 through mine....its definitely worth checking out and asking around.

You have a thing for cooking don't you? LOL.

AJ - There are several places you can find good deals on live rock, but sometimes even if the purchase price is better, you still pay shipping, so consider that. When it comes to money, a few questions: What rock are you most intrested in purchasing, how many pounds do you need, are you willing to cure it yourself or do you prefer it be cured at time of purchase, and how much are you willing to spend? Answer those and we can narrow it down a little more for you. :)

i do i like cooking to steralize stuff...nah really it was how i was taught to do salt water tanks like three years ago from a dude who runs a shop with some of the nicest tanks i have seen in person... he said "grab sand and rock from da beach cause free and bake em or boil em for hour to kill all the dirty **** and bacteria" so i do as i was taught
