Well the surgery was a success. We got to be with her while they sedated her as you can see in the pics. Then when she was waking up. He said he had to really drug her up, in his whole working experience he has never had to sedate a dog so much because when I left they could not get her to sleep because she was barking so much, lol. He said she put up a good fight so she is really drugged up. But everything went totally perfect. We had to carry her in. Now she is in bed sleeping. We go back in a week for a check up. She has to wear a cone, she is going to HATE wearing a cone, poor baby. But her eye is really bloody and red, I was very concerned but it’s 100% normal. We have to give her drops and pain meds for a week. Im just so happy it is all over with. IT”S OVER!!!!!!

If I may ask what was wrong with, I assume his eye? Cute pooch by the way. We had to sedate my dog once for a tooth extraction. She was so hung over after the sedation wore off it was weird seeing her move so slow, but man is her breath is so much better.

Glad it well off without a hitch!

Thanks guys.

Well her lens moved and that makes her blind. That is why she had to get the other one removed. So he took the lens out and sucked some stuff out in the back. That is why she is blind.

Great news, Am happy for you and for Rocky!

Lucky dog, beautifull owner.

Thanks Miguel. Rocky was up all night, lol. She kept taking her cone off, bad girl. She can’t take it off, the first thing she does is paws at her eye. My mom is taking care of her now, Im on a break, Im so tired. But she is just fine. Last night she was crying, I just stayed with her and petted her, she ate some treats this morning which is good because she needs food in her stomach before she takes her meds. Her eye is bleeding, I don’t like that but they said it’s normal, it is so red, it looks bad but that’s normal. It was a big big operation and I realized that when I saw her, I was crying.

It's amazing how someone can pay thousands of dollars for surgery on a pet. But I know people see their pets, especially dogs, as a family memeber.

I'm just not one of those people. Happy to hear that it went well for you though

how much DOES it cost to do something like that? is there dog insurance that cover the majority of things like that?
