Been pondering on this Idea for a while been thinking about building a few of my own rods. How many people on here make there own rods?

i have built a few before, but they are cheap depending on what your looking for...so in the end i think (at least for me) it is more work then it is worth...but fixing your own is worth it...
Idk a local guy told me that if I bought the materials he would let me use his equipment and show me how.
