ROFL Daphnia in the 55g community!

Pics would be pointless, but if you have a tank full of what-nots on different sizes, put a net full of daphnia in there for a laugh. The little fish fly straight for them and start munching at the cloud, then the big fish come running with fins high ready for the feast, but THEY CAN"T SEE the daphnia! The longear sunfish was so mad he was swimming in circles.

nice . . . I stopped feeding daphnia to anything other than juvies or smaller fish, 'cuz the big ones either couldn't find 'em or couldn't be bothered . . .

Oh, totally. I usually don't give daphnia to this tank but I had too much going and didn't want my culture to crash, so I just went ahead and did it. Considering that the mollies probably really benefit from it, I'll likely do it again. And for comedic value. The priceless frustration of the macropredators is something to be had again.
