works great. the actual pond liner i can get at menards cant be used with a bottom drain. but the rubber roofing epdm can. its great stuff.

yes, ive done it

Make sure it is fish safe before using it. If it has a white powder film on it, make sure to rinse it well.

Thats why he's asking here.

The materials are the exact same as what is used for pond liners, the roofing materials are just thicker.

I used a sarnafil liner in the past, it worked great and they are easy to keep clean.

thanks a lot. i'm a roofer, so i can get these materials for little of nothing, depending of what's left over from larger jobs. i was also curious if the adhesives would couse any probloms. that way i could splice together seperate pieces, and actually detail out the corners instead of just draping a large sheet in.

Don't use the roofing sealers/solvants. You can find pond liner sealer re-pair kits that will have the primer and glue that is needed.
